This reduces bleeding, improves the accuracy of fat mapping, and contributes to post-operative comfort. A small probe (3–4 mm incision, placed in a discreet location) then delivers Vaser ultrasound energy, which vibrates at a frequency that selectively disrupts fat cell membranes while leaving the surrounding matrix of nerves, blood vessels and fibrous tissue largely intact.
The liquefied fat is aspirated via a fine, smooth cannula.
